piece embodies all of the qualities I look for in a great
piece of art: great abstract design, balance and asymmetry,
sure draftsmanship, pleasing color harmony, emotional impact
and fianlly, expert technique. I first saw it across the room
and was drawn immediately to it, in spite of its small size.
The ability to draw one in for a closer look is one of the
qualities I look for in awarding this prize."
